Role Overview

The BIM Coordinator will support in determining the best practice for BIM Implementation, applying advanced BIM and digital engineering techniques, and suggesting the most efficient procedures

Responsibilities

Support the Project Delivery Design Teams in day to day BIM implementation activities.

Maintain all formal correspondences related to BIM activities.

Provide hands-on BIM software training for Project team members.

Ensure Project Information Model (PIM) are delivered in accordance with the agreed TIDP, MIDP and CDE protocol.

Develop and maintain Quality Assurance and Control templates following the Project's BIM production methods and standards.

Perform Quality Assurance and Control checks on models and maintain a tracker to confirm geometrical and non-geometrical information compliance with the Project's design and BIM requirements.

Review, monitor and report on the development of clash interference and fully coordinated models.

Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs.

Prepare own discipline model and/or content for internal reviews and coordination meetings.

Validate and export model geometry and data to schedules for internal design and commercial activities.


Key Elements

Ideally 7 years’ experience in Design or Construction.

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management

Proficient in a range of BIM authoring tools and collaboration applications and/or platforms e.g. Revit, Civil 3D, Grasshopper, Navisworks, BIM360, ProjectWise etc.

Model Federation & Clash Detection experience is required.

Experience with ISO and UK BIM Standards for ISO19650 or PAS1192 series.

Dynamo scripting is essential, advanced scripting is preferred but not essential.

Autodesk BIM interoperability tools background is preferred.

Revit API knowledge is a plus.
