We’re looking for a copywriter to join our marketing creative team!

The marketing team at Snap articulates and brings to life who we are as a brand, why we exist, who we serve, and what value we have to offer. We are on a mission to build a best-in-class international marketing organization. With functions spanning global business and consumer marketing, consumer insights, creative, brand marketing, and marketing operations, the team enables and activates marketing initiatives across the entire Snap Inc. ecosystem.

Working from our Dubai office, you’ll collaborate with fellow writers, designers, project managers, producers, marketers, and cross-functional partners—all working hand in hand to develop world-class creative for Snap Inc.

What You’ll Do

  • Ideate on creative ways to communicate new products, features, and company developments to our advertising partners
  • Work as a brand custodian, faithfully and creatively executing the Snap house style in both internal and external projects across a variety of touch points
  • Write copy for sales collateral, email marketing, decks, websites, and more related to Snapchat’s advertising and business products
  • Partner with designers and art directors to create videos, sizzles, case studies, and more
  • Internalise the Snapchat voice and cultivate a fun, consistent tone across all of your work

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • A master of colloquial language, breaking things down, and explaining what things mean
  • A strong perspective on what makes a great user experience—in an app, a book, or an appliance
  • Experience crafting brand voice, tone, and style guides ensuring consistent language across multiple touch points
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Manages ambiguity well in a fast-paced environment and has the ability to make quick, high-quality decisions based on evolving project needs and creative goals
  • Thrives in a collaborative environment but can also work successfully autonomously with strong time management skills
  • Diligent and detail-oriented with a proactive mindset
  • Understands how to foster and nurture collaborative working relationships with cross-functional stakeholders across varying verticals, disciplines, and markets
  • An inquisitive mind that is energised through engaging with culture (art, technology, experiences, etc—both local and international)
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience
  • 3+ years professional copywriting experience (in-house, agency, and/or freelance)
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your work across multiple formats (digital, video, social, etc)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Apple's iWork productivity suite a plus
  • Experience working in a Google Docs lead project environment a plus
  • Experience developing global product language (product, packaging, etc)
