We are a Turnkey Fitout contractor, established in 2006 we are the one-stop shop for all interior design, fitout and furnishing needs, whether it be for a Corporate Office, Restaurant, or Retail fitout.
Position Description
Designation: Design Manager
- Lead project teams to develop design solutions for delegated interior projects.
- Together with the team, develop design concepts and prepare with the project team documentation for tenders and construction.
- Monitor train and supervise junior designers to provide good design and standard detailing.
- Ensure junior designers and adherence to corporate policy.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Actively manage design projects from concept development through to completion
- Use the client design brief to identify objectives and put together feasibility reports and design proposals
- Conceptualize and sketch design plans, by hand and utilizing computer software
- Generate furniture plans and specification with intelligent graphics on AutoCAD and/or Configura including 3D’s and elevations as required
- Develop colour schemes with material and finish selections within schedule and budget requirements
- Create ‘mood boards’ to sample your design vision and bring it to life
- Source materials, products and suppliers included in design plans
- Inspect design throughout it’s progress to ensure the client’s objectives are achieved
- Cooperate and liaise with construction project managers
- Provide excellence in client service at all times and show initiative in assisting clients
- Ensure product and service knowledge is maintained at a high competent level
- Carry out research with regards to various projects as well as identifying opportunities
- Ensure confidentiality for all project information, data and correspondence
- Ensure works comply with specific standards, building codes, guidelines and regulations
- Ensure project information is accurate and completed as per procedure
Requirements
- Bachelor of Interior Design
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in design
Knowledge/ Skills and Abilities:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use PC (ms suite)
- Time management ability
- Ability to create/provide design detail
- Good written and spoken English
