Ava Energy is currently recruiting for a Economic Market Modelling Expert for an exciting utilities business in Abu Dhabi.
Responsibilities
- Understanding of modelling and planning of integrated systems with increased penetration of solar / storage technologies
- Understand PLEXOS functionality and possess adequate levels of modelling capability required for conducting diverse types of analysis
- Maintaining an up-to-date and calibrated techno-economic model of the integrated power / water system that can be used as decision-making support in the sectorQualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in energy systems / energy market modelling
- In-depth knowledge of techno-economic modelling of power or water generation systems
- Knowledge of data analytics, optimization techniques or econometrics is desirable
- Experience of working within teams of 3-10 people delivering projects
- Understanding of the Gulf region and its unique planning requirements and constraints
- English language is mandatory, Arabic is preferable
