Baker Hughes has a new opportunity for Global Projects Engineering Director - Surface Pressure Control based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The role owns the activity globally and looks at consistent functional specifications and common global processes for projects implementation.

You will be responsible for:
 

• Serving as the technical leader to develop a scope of work, plan and monitor engineering activities for customer projects.
• Providing technical leadership and interface with Proposal Management, Cost Estimating, Partners, Customers, Baker Hughes Product Engineering, Sourcing, Engineering sub-contractors.
• Applying existing technologies & methodologies in new combinations to design new products
• Heading the Engineering function which does complex research and development work.
• Supporting sales projects; to find technical and economically best solutions.
• Leading role in knowledge management by stimulating sharing of knowledge.
• Providing technical guidance to other personnel and assigned teams, mentor others in the organization
• Leading the regional SPC engineering teams
• Conducting all activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance and Baker Hughes Core values
   

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:
 

• Have relevant business experience in the field of Wellheads & Surface Pressure Control
• Have experience in and outside the organization with typically 10+ years relevant business experience.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
• Have team management experience
