We are seeking a dedicated, organized, and efficient Project manager – Events to join our team. In this role, The Project Manager manages key client projects. Project management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities and monitor and summarize progress of project. Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project.
The successful candidate will work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. He or she will coordinate with other departments to ensure all
aspects of each project are compatible and will hire new talent as needed to
fulfill client needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Planning and execution of assigned projects from start to finish: Manage events from conception to completion.
- Ensure outstanding concepts for all types of events, experiences, and projects.
- Understanding and interpreting client needs to deliver winning pitch solutions
- Manage the preparation of strategic and creative pitches: lead a team in responding to complex briefs with exceptional attention to detail, develop first draft budgets, and present to clients.
- Careful oversight of complex project budgets monitoring internal production, and cooperating with various departments to prevent any discrepancies.
- Set and deliver service in accordance with the timeframe agreed upon with the client.
- Ensure smooth project and team management operational processes.
- Responsible for event budgets from draft to reconciliation on time, ensuring they meet client expectations and company profit margins.
- Schedule manpower and material according to the project's progress.
- Keep abreast of key trends and event content to keep all solutions current, innovative, and exciting.
- Ensure that the best suppliers have been identified and engaged at the best possible preferential rates.
- Capability to multitask, handling multiple projects at once while managing demanding clients with varying needs and requirements
- Collaborate with various internal departments to shape the event
- As needed, evaluate, select, and manage outside vendors and service providers.
- Propose creative ideas and themes, conduct research, and make recommendations.
- Manage event costs, keep the event budget in check, and provide detailed budget analysis, as well as a post-event report and postmortem results.
- Lead, support, train and mentor junior team members
- Team player who enforces company culture
- Ensure best practices are shared across teams within the region
- Work on value engineering throughout the project cycle.
Experience Required
- Proven track record and experience delivering live events to both private individuals and corporates is essential – astute project management skills
- An innate understanding of the wider luxury landscape is crucial as well as a natural ability to service clients at the highest level.
- Dubai Experience a must
- Education: Degree in Architecture / Civil
- 4 years + experience in an agency environment with at least 3 years experience in a senior role with direct reports
- Fluent English speaker with strong communication skills (written and verbal) – French, Arabic and/or additional languages a plus
- Proven leadership and team motivation skills, ability to direct operations simultaneously and with regional consideration
- Proven experience in large-scale event production, brand experiences,
- Outstanding client and account management, experienced in handling and developing strong relationships with senior clients
- Strong interpersonal skills and a ‘can-do attitude
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset
