Fashion Designer / Assistant To Creative Director

Description:

Research seasonal themes and inspirations, in collaboration with the Creative Director and the design team.
Design RTW collections from initial concept through to Production sign off.
Create monthly schedules for creative director, head designer and design team.
Source and design new techniques according to season’s direction.
Work closely with the design team on new fabrics, artworks and seasons colour palette.
Work with the pattern room on developing new silhouettes and follow through from initial sketch to final samples.
Create marketing schedules including budgeting and source new ways to market the brand.
Work alongside the Studio and Product Development teams to oversee the design and development of the collections.
Social media content creation and management.
Attend fit meetings to ensure correct fit is achieved on all stages of design.
Liaise and work very closely with factories and mills for new pattern developments.
Produce and keep updated seasonal mood boards for design, sales and press.
Participate in the preparation of Lookbook shoots and Market presentations.
Work on external projects with Head of Design and Creative Director.

The Ideal Candidate

Living in Sharjah

Degree in Fashion or fashion related subject.
Good knowledge and passion of Luxury Womenswear.
Strong design experience and taste level.
Hand drawing skills.
Ability to produce detailed technical drawings and spec packs.
Confident working in 3D on the stand.
Strong communication skills and confidence working with overseas factories.
Extensive knowledge of photoshop and illustrator.
Good technical knowledge of garment construction, fabric and textile techniques.
Strong brand understanding and luxury sensibility
Ability to work well under pressure and meet critical deadlines
Experience in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel and Office Suite
Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects while adhering to deadline
Efficient, highly organised and reliable. Competent in organising own workload and schedule.
Confident in multi-tasking, problem solving and work on tight deadlines.
Strong verbal and written skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Positive attitude, passion and dedication.
Strong portfolio demonstrating hand sketches, design development and technical specs.
