Head of Credit

Our client, a reputable local bank is looking for a Head of Credit to join their team in Abu Dhabi. This role will be responsible for robust credit management support for their FI and NBFI business across 50+ countries.

Key Responsibilities

· Leading and managing areas of credit paper writing, policy planning and business analytics.

· Assess cross border limits, review memos and manage quality of submissions.

· Research and evaluate clients credit worthiness and prepare credit proposals.

· Establish risk mitigation strategies and maintain and monitor credit presentation standards.

· Implement credit controls in line with the banks credit policy and local regulatory directive to attain satisfactory risk rated portfolio quality.

· Set up the Center of Excellence in India.

Key Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline. Chartered Accountant preferred.

· Minimum 15 years of experience gained within financial institutions or banking sector.

· Proficient in credit and risk assessment, banking operations.

· Strong product knowledge in trade finance and treasury is required.

· Only candidates in Abu Dhabi or willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi will be considered.
