When you think of food delivery in the MENA region, we’d be pretty surprised if talabat didn’t pop into your mind first! Since delivering our first order in Kuwait in 2004, we’ve grown quite a lot over the past 17 years.

Today, we deliver hundreds of millions of food orders, grocery items and other products per year, to our customers in nine countries throughout the region with more than 3,000+ employees! Our food delivery business works with over 27,000 brands and almost 50,000 branches, while our q-commerce concept, talabat mart, now delivers groceries to customers in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman Qatar, and the UAE in 30 minutes or less!

Role Summary

The role is responsible to manage our online payment acceptance from all aspects, acting

as the business owner of this stream while working with internal stakeholders and external

partners across the region. The role will focus on optimizing payment costs, improving

payment success rates, introducing new payment methods, improving experience and

increasing online payments share.

What’s On Your Plate?

  • Be responsible for processing transactions amounting to billions of euros across all

markets for Talabat

  • Drive regional initiatives related to the optimization of the pricing and commercial

agreements with partners related to online payments

  • Set and execute, short and mid-term strategy of the pricing optimization of online


  • Share regular updates on the performance metrics and initiatives with global,

regional, and local stakeholders

  • Streamline the communication amongst internal stakeholders (local, regional, global)

from various departments (finance, controlling, product, engineering, etc) and

external stakeholders (PSPs, APMs, acquirers, card schemes, etc)

  • Follow closely the market trends to benchmark the performance and the setup with

the market level, to capture relevant opportunities, and to drive innovation

  • Own and optimize the payment performance related KPIs
  • Work closely with the product and engineering teams to improve the checkout

experience and measure the impact on the performance and customer satisfaction

  • Achieve targets for payment success rates and cost

What Did We Order?

Solution-oriented and with a high sense of ownership

5+ years of payments experience with at least 2+ years within the acceptance domain in


Self-driven with a high sense of ownership and require minimal supervision

Focused knowledge of card payments, PSPs, acquirers, APMs, and new payment


Data savvy: Comfortable with analytical tools and collaborating with data teams to make

data-driven decisions

Advanced Excel knowledge and excellent presentation skills

Comfortable driving multiple initiatives
