Ava Energy is currently recruiting for a Power Systems Integration Modeller for an exciting utlities business in Abu Dhabi.
Responsibilities
- In-depth understanding of the techno-economic (market) model of the integrated power / water system that can be used as decision-making support in the sector
- Developing network expansion models in the appropriate software necessary for the evaluation being undertaken
- Structure and organize the sharing of data related to network and market studies using PSS/E and PLEXOS respectively
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network modelling and power systems / energy market modelling
- In-depth knowledge of techno-economic modelling of power or water generation systems
- Knowledge of data analytics, optimization techniques or econometrics is desirable
- Experience of working within teams of 3-10 people delivering projects
- Experience in developing enduring processes
- Understanding of the Gulf region and its unique planning requirements and constraints
- English language is mandatory, Arabic is preferable
