Description:
We are looking for a qualified Psychologist with - a master's degree in Psychology or any relevant degree and 3 years of experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES:
The Psychologist will work within school systems to
- help students of all educational levels manage social, emotional, behavioral, and learning problems
- design and implement interventions for a wide spectrum of difficulties students may face, for example, performance anxiety, learning difficulties, or anger management issues
- emphasize students’ personal and social strengths, encouraging well-being and a healthier mindset
- create and implement prevention programs to tackle common school problems
- design mental-health intervention and prevention programs
- implement counseling and educational methods
- evaluate and report on student progress
- set learning goals based on each student’s emotional, cognitive, and social strengths
- research new methods to improve students` wellbeing
- guide parents in facilitating children’s progress conduct assessment of student needs
- promote regular school attendance
- provide individual counseling
- provide crisis intervention services
- participate in the evaluation of special education placements
- participate in the development of behavioral modification plans
- coordination of services with community agencies
- coordination of services with other disciplines within the school
- participate in transition planning for students
- coordinate prevention programs
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Education: Masters’s Degree in Psychology.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a school environment is desirable, specifically working with students.
