Description:
Spinneys, the UAE’s leading premium food retailer, is looking for a creative and talented senior designer to join its new Content division. Working in close collaboration with the marketing and content teams, the ideal candidate will ultimately support respective managers and colleagues with all design/art-related requirements for Spinneys’ engaging multi-media campaigns and content.
Responsibilities:
- As the senior designer, you will work together with a designer (under the direction of the marketing manager and content manager) on varied creative projects, from inception to completion, ensuring that you create eye-catching, engaging and on-trend multi-media artwork for Spinneys’ print, video, social media, email, web, packaging and in-store marketing initiatives.
- Working alongside the content manager, you will be required to attend all studio and location photo and video shoots, working with photographers, videographers and food stylists.
- You will take the lead on creating dynamic video edits (working with freelance video editors) to ensure all video content is captivating and meets campaign objectives.
- You will manage the image library, ensuring an ordered system is maintained at all times.
- You will create brand consistency, ensuring that company-wide materials support and strengthen the brand and market leadership.
- You will also play an active role in shaping new opportunities for Spinneys in order to build the content offering.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ design experience as a senior designer in a publishing/media house or an advertising agency.
- Experience designing multi-media content for a retail brand is essential.
- A portfolio that demonstrates fluency in the visual language of magazine publishing, packaging design, retail design, web design, styling, photoshoot direction, video shoot art direction and artwork creation for social media.Applications without a visual portfolio will not be considered.Strong typographic skills.
- A well-rounded understanding of all social platforms.
- An understanding of the supermarket retail industry.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop. Sound knowledge of Lightroom, After Effects and Premier is a plus.
- Solid image editing skills.
- Strong project management, communication and organisation skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work efficiently under pressure and stay calm.
