Description:
Risk Management
- Create and organize risk assessment plans including analysing risks as well as identifying, describing, evaluating and estimating the risks affecting the business in line with established risk criteria.
- Ensure that mitigation of risks in all the areas of the business are reported and are in place including mitigation of risk and management of health insurance programme.
- Control and direct programmes and measures to be taken to reduce the organisational risk.
- Provide guidance and support to the Business Units to conduct risk assessments.
- Direct and mentor focal point(s) in the Business unit for risk management related tasks.
- Assess and evaluate the performance of the focal point as part of their performance review cycle.
- Conduct risk-based audits on implementation of risk treatment plans in liaison with internal and external auditors.
- Manage and perform counterparty/third party/insurance/ solvency/financial risk assessments.
- Organise Governance and Risk Committee meetings, contribute to presentations, reporting, etc.
- Provide support, education and training to new joiners as well as current staff to build and enhance risk awareness within the organisation.
- Organise, sanitize and manage the consolidation of risks as the single source for all risk management related data (advanced excel skills).
- Formulate and prepare policies, procedures, guidelines related to risk management.
- Report and provide regular updates to the Management on the identified KRIs/ KPIs.
Document Review
- Review documents and identify potential risk exposure and suggest appropriate risk treatment methods.
- Approve the proposed risk treatment measures, including insurance coverage and limits
- Oversee the implementation of the risk treatment measures.
Internal Controls
- Implement the internal control frameworks and associated governance to ensure that all material risks have adequate controls in place.
- Identify/assess key controls and evaluate them, determine the design/operational effectiveness and monitor remediation.
- Direct and control implementation by developing roll out plans, maintain the monitoring programme to ensure effective execution and implementation of remedial actions or control improvements.
- Prepare and document the testing to ensure adequate onward reporting of results
- Oversee and provide analytics on control effectiveness.
Skills
Excellent communication skills with a good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic language is an advantage.

· Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint applications (advanced skillset)
· Excellent knowledge of health insurance concepts

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or any related study
