Description:
The Account Manager is responsible for managing and retaining a portfolio of institutional accounts, driving revenue growth through relationship building, strategic account planning, and consultative sales approaches. This role requires deep understanding of customer needs, data-driven decision making, and the ability to identify cross-selling opportunities learning products. The primary focus of this role would be for higher education products and portfolio.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Drive growth across the assigned territory by achieving and exceeding annual sales targets for Wiley’s print and digital solutions
- Build and manage strong relationships with academic institutions, resellers, and new prospects to expand adoption and renewals
- Promote front‑list and digital products, with a strong focus on supporting digital transition in Higher Education
- Develop and execute territory sales plans, managing pipeline activity, forecasting, and reporting against targets
- Represent Wiley products commercially, present proposals, and negotiate terms to close new and renewal business
- Gather and share market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitor insights to inform internal teams
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, customer service, and digital teams to deliver a strong customer experience
What We Look For
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)
- Previous sales experience within publishing or education-focused industries
- 3-5+ years of experience hitting targets and managing strategic account
- Strong knowledge of academic institutions and the Higher Education market
- Working knowledge of digital books, formats, and industry sales models
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- High level of initiative, organisation, and attention to detail
- Ability to travel regularly across the assigned territory
- Proven success in exceeding financial sales goals using a consultative sales approach
- Proficiency in additional languages, particularly Arabic or Russian, is desirable.
