Accountant

 

Description:

AMANA Corporate is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee our financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with UAE tax and accounting regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial accounting, auditing, and tax compliance, with hands-on experience in Zoho, Odoo, Xero, Sage, Tally, and MS Excel.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Accounting & Financial Reporting:

- Record all accounting entries and prepare journal entries for accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and bank transactions.

- Perform monthly and annual general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy.

- Prepare and finalize financial statements, balance sheets, income and expense reports, and cash flow analyses as per the monthly close schedule.

- Prepare ageing reports for receivables and payables and ensure timely collections/payments.

- Reconcile bank statements and intercompany accounts to maintain financial accuracy.

- Manage petty cash and post-dated cheques (PDCs) efficiently.

 

Payroll & Tax Compliance:

- Oversee payroll processing and employee benefits administration.

- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, including UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance.

 

Audit & Financial Analysis:

- Prepare statutory audit packs and provide support for internal and external audits.

- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve accuracy, efficiency, and cost reduction.

- Prepare cash budgets and sales analysis reports to assist management in financial decision-making.

 

Invoice & Documentation Management:

- Process and maintain records of invoices and financial documents in an organized manner.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- 3-6 years of experience in financial accounting, auditing, and tax compliance.

- Proficiency in Zoho, Odoo, Xero, Sage, Tally, and MS Excel.

- Strong knowledge of UAE financial reporting standards, VAT laws, and audit procedures.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
