Description:
Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in MS Office applications, have experience with invoicing processes, and possess knowledge of VAT regulations.
Responsibilities:
1. Invoicing and Billing: Generate and process invoices for clients and customers accurately and in a timely manner.
Ensure that all billing information is up-to-date and properly recorded in the financial system.
2. VAT Filing: Possess a solid understanding of VAT regulations and ensure the proper application of VAT rates on invoices. Prepare and submit VAT returns as required by local tax authorities.
3. Financial Records Maintenance: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. Keep track of financial transactions, payments, and expenses.
4. Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements. Collaborate with the team to provide necessary data and support financial analysis efforts.
5. Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the team as needed, including logistic operations, filing documents, handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, and assisting with other finance-related tasks.
Requirements:
1. Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, but relevant work experience will also be considered.
2. Experience: Proven experience in an accounts administration or similar finance role is desirable.
3. Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with accounting tools and financial management systems.
4. Invoicing and VAT Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of invoicing processes and understanding of VAT regulations is essential.
5. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
6. Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
7. Communication: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and external parties.
8. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to financial data and processes.
9. Integrity: A high level of integrity and trustworthiness in handling sensitive financial information.
