Description:
We’re looking for an experienced Accountant to join Muhebi Gold and Jewellery’s Dubai team — someone who understands the special bookkeeping and inventory needs of the jewellery sector and can keep financial and stock records precise and audit-ready. This is a hands-on role for a candidate who can manage transactional accounting, reconcile bullion and finished-goods balances, and ensure VAT and local regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day accounting for purchases, sales and inventory specific to gold and jewellery transactions.
- Record and reconcile stock movements and monitor gold price variances to keep inventory values accurate.
- Prepare routine financial outputs — daily activity logs, monthly reports and annual statements.
- Process and track invoices, receipts and supplier payments; assist with bank deposits and reconciliations.
- Ensure VAT filings and other statutory obligations are prepared correctly and submitted on time.
- Collaborate with sales and operations to support smooth order fulfilment and accurate costing.
- Keep clear, organised ledgers and supporting documentation ready for audits.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in gold/jewellery accounting (mandatory).
- Comfortable using Tally, QuickBooks or similar accounting systems.
- Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail and good numeric accuracy.
- Able to work independently, manage priorities and maintain confidentiality.
- Good communication and organisational skills; ability to liaise with operations and suppliers.
