Accountant

Description:

We are looking for a skilled Arabic-speaking Accountant with at least two years’ practical experience in accounting, auditing, and VAT/tax compliance within the UAE. The successful candidate will manage daily finance operations, support audits, and ensure the business meets local tax and regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Process daily accounting transactions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare and review financial statements in line with UAE accounting requirements.
• Handle VAT return preparation and submission, ensuring full compliance with UAE VAT rules.
• Provide support for internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Monitor and maintain accurate records for accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Produce financial analysis and management reports to assist decision-making.
• Maintain organised documentation and filing for all financial records.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years’ accounting experience in the UAE, with exposure to auditing and VAT/tax matters preferred.
• Strong familiarity with UAE VAT regulations and the corporate tax framework.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho, or similar).
• Proficient with MS Excel and other Office tools.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (both written and spoken).

Preferred:
• Prior experience in an audit or consulting firm.
• Working knowledge of IFRS.
• UAE driving licence is an advantage.
