Accountant

 

Description:

Hafiz Electromechanical Contg. LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the company’s financial operations in the contracting and construction sector. The role requires expertise in VAT, corporate tax compliance, project cost control, supplier reconciliations, and authority related financial documentation (FEWA, Civil Defense, Municipality, etc.). The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in accounts, provide timely reports to management, and support financial decision-making for multiple ongoing projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Maintain day-to-day accounting records for contracting projects, including job cost sheets, LPOs, supplier invoices, subcontractor payments, and client billings.

 

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including project-wise profitability reports.

 

Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and collection from clients.

 

Perform bank reconciliations and monitor company cash flow on a project and corporate level.

 

Handle VAT return filing, input/output VAT reconciliation, and corporate tax submissions as per UAE FTA regulations.

 

Prepare and submit FEWA load approval, Civil Defense documentation, and other authority-related payment records in coordination with project teams.

 

Maintain and update fixed asset registers and manage depreciation schedules.

 

Support payroll preparation, WPS compliance, staff advances, and expense reimbursements.

 

Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

 

Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cost control reports for ongoing and upcoming projects.

 

Conduct supplier, subcontractor, and client account reconciliations to ensure transparency and accuracy.

 

Provide management with timely MIS reports, variance analysis, and cash flow projections.

 

 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/ACCA/CA preferred).

 

Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience in the UAE construction/contracting industry.

 

Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, corporate tax, and compliance regulations.

 

Proficiency in accounting software (Tally ERP, QuickBooks, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.

 

Experience with project cost accounting, supplier reconciliation, and authority payment records.

 

Familiarity with MEP project documentation, FEWA, and Civil Defense processes is an advantage.

 

Excellent communication skills to coordinate with management, auditors, suppliers, and clients.

 

High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
