The Espresso Lab is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. This role involves managing financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing accurate financial reporting to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations
- Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes
- Maintain compliance with UAE tax laws (VAT) and other financial regulations, including VAT filing
- Support internal audits and accounting reviews
- Monitor, analyze, and reconcile accounting data for accuracy and consistency
- Lead initiatives for process improvement within the finance department
- Assist with inventory accounting and cost control for retail and F&B operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including retail, operations, and HR
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA, ACCA, or CMA certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of professional accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and local financial regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or ERP systems
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- High attention to detail with the capability to work independently
