Description:
Oryx Hotel Abu Dhabi is currently inviting applications for the position of Accountant to join its Finance Department. The hotel is looking for a reliable and detail-focused professional who can manage financial operations efficiently while maintaining accuracy and compliance within a fast-paced hospitality environment. This role is ideal for candidates who possess strong accounting knowledge and are passionate about contributing to smooth financial management in the hotel industry.
The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial documentation, and supporting internal financial processes. You will collaborate closely with multiple departments to ensure proper reporting, compliance with financial policies, and timely completion of accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounting activities and record financial transactions accurately.
• Prepare, update, and maintain financial reports and accounting records.
• Assist in month-end closing procedures, reconciliations, and financial reviews.
• Process invoices, vendor payments, and expense documentation in a timely manner.
• Provide support during audits and ensure adherence to hotel financial policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with internal departments to collect financial data and required documentation.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure precision in all financial operations.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably within the hospitality sector.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards, bookkeeping practices, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and commonly used accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
