Accountant

Description:

Al Rabat Building Contracting, a reputed organization in the construction sector based in Dubai, is currently hiring an experienced Accountant to support and manage financial operations with accuracy and efficiency. The selected candidate will be responsible for handling core accounting functions, project financial management, and ensuring compliance with UAE financial regulations and international accounting standards.

• Maintain and manage general ledger accounts including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial record accuracy in line with IFRS and UAE regulations
• Handle project accounting activities including cost tracking, revenue and expense monitoring, and preparation of detailed project financial reports
• Manage accounts payable functions by processing supplier and subcontractor invoices and ensuring timely payment cycles
• Oversee accounts receivable processes including client invoicing, collection tracking, and management of retention receivables
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and assist in construction-related Work-in-Progress (WIP) accounting
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws and financial reporting standards
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes with accurate financial documentation
• Collaborate with project and operational teams to ensure proper financial control over construction projects
