Accountant

Description:

Etlad Construction Co LLC is currently looking to hire an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join its construction operations team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, supporting project accounting activities, and ensuring full compliance with UAE financial regulations, including VAT requirements. This role requires strong industry experience within the construction sector and the ability to handle high-volume financial data with accuracy and efficiency.

The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and assisting management in financial planning and decision-making. Applicants with strong analytical skills, advanced Excel knowledge, and hands-on experience with accounting software are highly encouraged to apply. Immediate joiners will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and record daily accounting transactions and financial activities accurately

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports

• Handle project costing, budgeting, and cash flow monitoring for construction projects

• Review and manage invoices, supplier payments, and account reconciliations

• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and applicable financial standards

• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and internal management for financial reporting

• Monitor expenses and support cost control initiatives across projects

• Maintain accurate financial documentation and accounting records

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in the construction industry (mandatory)

• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and accounting standards

• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills

• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

• Excellent communication and coordination skills
