Accountant

Description:

UPTURN Technical Services Contracting LLC is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join its expanding team in Dubai. The company specializes in floor coating systems, waterproofing, concrete repair, and expansion joint works across commercial, residential, and industrial projects throughout the UAE.

This role requires a strong accounting professional who can manage full financial operations, ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations, and support project-based financial reporting. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and improving cost control efficiency across projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger

• Prepare and issue client invoices, and verify supplier/subcontractor invoices

• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions

• Monitor collections and oversee payment schedules

• Handle petty cash, cheques, and employee advances

• Prepare monthly financial reports including P&L and cash flow statements

• Conduct project-wise budget vs actual cost analysis

• Ensure VAT return filing and FTA compliance

• Manage Corporate Tax reporting and compliance

• Track project profitability and cost performance

• Process monthly payroll and calculate end-of-service benefits (EOSB)

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations

• Coordinate with banks for financial transactions and requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA / ACCA preferred)

• Minimum 3 years of UAE experience in construction or contracting sector

• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Zoho, Tally, or similar accounting software

• Strong understanding of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and FTA regulations

• Strong knowledge of:

• Financial reporting and analysis

• Project cost accounting

• Payroll and compliance processes
