Accountant

Description:

This is a full-time Accountant role based in Dubai with a on-site work. The Accountant will handle day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, monitoring payables and receivables, and preparing routine financial reports. The role includes assisting with monthly and quarterly closings, maintaining accurate ledgers, and supporting budgeting and cost tracking related to petrochemical and polymer trading activities. The Accountant will also help ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations, support internal audits, and collaborate with operations and sales teams to provide timely financial insights.

Key Requirements:

• Hands-on experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Fluency in Tagalog and English
• Proven accounting experience, preferably within a chemical, polymer, petrochemical, or general trading company
• Good understanding of UAE accounting practices and VAT regulations
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and Power BI
• Experience preparing and reviewing international trade and shipping documentation, including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin (COO), Bills of Lading, shipping instructions, and documents submitted through platforms such as CargoX.
• Good knowledge of Letters of Credit (LCs), including reading LC terms and conditions, identifying documentation requirements, monitoring shipment and presentation deadlines, and coordinating document preparation to avoid discrepancies.
