Accountant

Description:

An established English Language Institute in Dubai is looking for a qualified and experienced Accountant to join its team. This full-time opportunity is ideal for finance professionals with strong accounting expertise and a thorough understanding of UAE tax regulations.

The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements. Preference will be given to candidates residing in or near Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT), Dubai.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.

• Manage daily accounting transactions and general ledger entries.

• Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end closing activities.

• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.

• Reconcile accounts and support financial reporting processes.

• Coordinate with management on accounting and financial matters.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Estimated).

• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.

• Strong understanding of UAE Tax Law, including VAT and Corporate Tax.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Preference will be given to candidates living in or near Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT), Dubai.

• Strong knowledge of:

 • General accounting principles

 • UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations

 • Financial reporting and account reconciliation

 • Microsoft Excel and accounting software
