Accountant

Description:

Otto Matrix Shipping LLC is looking for an experienced Accountant to join its team in Dubai. The ideal candidate should have relevant accounting experience within the shipping industry, with strong knowledge of financial reconciliation, invoicing, and operational accounting processes.

The role requires expertise in NVOCC accounting activities, handling shipping-related financial records, UAE VAT compliance, and maintaining accurate reports using accounting software and Excel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounting activities related to shipping and logistics operations.

• Handle Principal/Agent SOA reconciliation and ensure accurate financial records.

• Process and verify shipping invoices, job costing, and operational accounting entries.

• Manage vessel and slot-related accounts and financial documentation.

• Support UAE VAT-related accounting requirements and compliance.

• Maintain accurate reports using Excel and accounting software.

• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve accounting and reconciliation matters.

Requirements:

• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within NVOCC or shipping industry.

• Strong knowledge of Principal/Agent SOA reconciliation.

• Experience with shipping invoices, job costing, and vessel/slot-related accounts.

• Good understanding of UAE VAT regulations.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
