Accountant

Description:

Velments Group Management is looking for an experienced Accountant to join its team in Abu Dhabi. This opportunity is ideal for accounting professionals with a solid background in the UAE, particularly within the retail, FMCG, trading, or liquor shop sectors.

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, handling inventory-related accounting, and ensuring compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations. The role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.

• Handle supplier invoices, customer invoices, purchase orders, and credit notes.

• Perform inventory and stock accounting, including stock reconciliation and variance checking.

• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and accounting regulations.

• Monitor and identify stock, cash, and accounting discrepancies.

• Maintain proper accounting documentation and financial records.

• Support financial reporting and other accounting-related functions as required.

Requirements:

• 4–5 years of accounting experience in the UAE, preferably in retail, liquor shops, FMCG, or trading.

• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and accounting practices.

• Experience in inventory and stock accounting, including stock reconciliation and variance checking.

• Knowledge of excise-related accounting and record management is an advantage.

• Experience handling supplier invoices, customer invoices, credit notes, and purchase orders.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify stock, cash, and accounting discrepancies.

Strong knowledge of:

   • UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and financial accounting.

   • Inventory management, stock reconciliation, and variance analysis.

   • Invoicing, purchase orders, credit notes, and accounting documentation.
