Accountant

Description:

Dubai Sports City is seeking an experienced Accountant with a hospitality industry background to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who can manage daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and contribute to timely financial reporting.

The selected candidate will oversee financial transactions, prepare reconciliations, support month-end closing activities, and ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and UAE tax regulations. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.

• Process financial transactions and prepare invoices, payment requests, receipts, and other financial documents.

• Perform accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliation activities.

• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Prepare financial reports and revenue reconciliations.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and UAE VAT requirements.

• Coordinate with internal departments to support financial operations and reporting.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience as an Accountant, with previous experience in the Hospitality industry.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.

• Experience in preparing invoices, payment requests, receipts, and other financial documents.

• Good understanding of daily financial transactions, revenue reconciliation, month-end/year-end closing, and UAE VAT requirements.

• Experience with Micros and Concept is an advantage.

• Strong analytical, numerical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
