Accountant

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Dubai office. The candidate we are looking for should have solid experience in accounting, finance or a related field. They will be responsible for the financial documentation and reports for the company. Under this position, the candidate must have excellent knowledge and understanding of accounting tools, taxation, and financial documentation. The accountant must be able to handle many tasks simultaneously and deliver in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Posts and processes journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
• Updates accounts receivable and issues/processes invoices.
• Updates accounts payable and performs reconciliations.
• Assists in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements.
• Keeps the financial data in databases up to date to ensure that information will be accurate and available immediately when needed.
• Supports Chief accountant in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings and external/ internal auditing.
• Assists with reviewing of expenses, payroll records, and any other tasks to be assigned by the Chief Accountant.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience as accountant preferably in Media industry.
• Excellent organizing abilities and attention to detail.
• Available to join immediately.
• Knowledge of Accounting systems, preferably XERO.
• Good with numbers and figures.
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software.
• Ability to work independently.

Qualifications – Any Bachelor’s/Master’s in accounting, finance, or relevant field.
