Description:
We are looking for an Accounting & Procurement Executive to join D Marine Dubai.
The role holder is responsible to provide support in Finance, Accounts & Procurement function
Core Responsibilities
- Coordinate with respective business units for procurement requirements / activities.
- Organize and arrange procurement of services & inventory items online / personal visits to suppliers.
- Negotiate prices with suppliers, compare quotations, arrange approvals in line with DOA matrix.
- Negotiate group level of services on behalf of marinas, review the service agreements with legal department.
- Establish procurement procedures, create forms and standard contracts.
- Assist on ERP implementation.
- Finalize the suppliers’ credit applications forms.
- Execute procurement requests in ERP and ensure each LPO/contract is supported with relevant documentation (PRs).
- Ensure availability of all documents (PR, PO, GRN, Bills) & execute payments in ERP and in accounts / finance
- Issue tax invoices, credit notes and bank receipts through ERP system.
- Record post-dated and security deposit cheques.
- Ensure cheques are deposited in a bank account on due date.
- Coordinate with banks for dishonored payments from customers and follow up with customer services for replacements of cheques.
- Manage various reconciliations including supplier / customers’ accounts.
- Follow the approved accounting, procurement policies, procedures & strategic plans approved by the management.
- Ensure that latest DOA applied on all signatures for all documents.
Knowledge & Experience
Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Business Administration.
Minimum experience:
3-5 years of relevant experience
Skillset (job specific technical & system skills if applicable):
- Expertise in accounting & procurement activities, team working, very good communication skills and excellent negotiation skills
- ERP experience
