Description:
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Officer to join our finance team at the Dubai office. The successful candidate will have hands-on exposure to import transactions and preferably experience servicing clients or employers in the chemical manufacturing or trading space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle accounting tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank & ledger reconciliations.
- Handle import-related financial operations such as preparing and verifying import documentation, processing Letters of Credit (LCs), and settling supplier invoices.
- Ensure all accounting activities comply with corporate procedures and UAE accounting standards and regulations.
- Assist with month-end close routines, prepare supporting schedules for financial reporting, and support external/internal audits.
- Work closely with procurement, logistics and operations teams to resolve invoice, shipment and costing discrepancies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of practical accounting experience — preference given to candidates with exposure to the chemical sector or import-heavy operations.
- Solid knowledge of import procedures, LC workflows, and trade-related financial documentation.
- Comfortable using accounting software and advanced Excel; good command of MS Office applications.
- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
