Accounts Payable Accountant

Description:

Al Zarooni Electro Mechanicals LLC (AZEMCO) is urgently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join its finance team. This role is ideal for accounting professionals with UAE experience who are skilled in supplier invoice processing, payment management, and maintaining accurate financial records.

The successful candidate will support accounts payable operations, ensure proper documentation, assist with financial closing activities, and maintain compliance with UAE VAT regulations and company accounting procedures. Candidates who are currently residing in the UAE and available for immediate joining are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process supplier invoices and verify them against purchase orders and delivery documents.

• Prepare supplier payments through bank transfers, cheques, and online banking platforms.

• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and reconcile supplier statements.

• Review invoice discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.

• Monitor payment due dates and coordinate payment processing.

• Prepare payment vouchers and maintain proper supporting documentation.

• Assist with month-end closing activities and audit requirements.

• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and company accounting procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum 2 years of UAE experience in Accounts Payable.

• Good knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and accounting procedures.

• Experience with Tally or similar ERP/accounting software.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.

• Must be currently residing in the UAE.

Strong knowledge of:

• Accounts Payable processes and supplier reconciliation.

• UAE VAT compliance and accounting procedures.

• Tally, ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and financial documentation.
