About the Role

dakAI is hiring a Senior Data Scientist / AI Engineer to design and implement high-impact AI/ML and GenAI use cases in the energy and finance sectors. You’ll work at the intersection of operational data, domain knowledge, and advanced machine learning platforms like DataRobot, LLMs, and custom GenAI agents to deliver business-critical insights and automation.

What You’ll Do

• Lead delivery of ML and GenAI solutions across energy and finance use cases
• Build, fine-tune, and deploy predictive models with DataRobot
• Prototype and operationalize GenAI use cases (e.g., intelligent assistants, document summarization, custom GPT agents)
• Translate business problems into data science workflows in collaboration with domain experts
• Ensure interpretability, robustness, and relevance of AI outputs
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to reusable AI/GenAI assets

What You Bring

• MSc or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, AI, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in ML/AI, ideally in energy or financial services
• Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and ML frameworks (scikit-learn, XGBoost, etc.)
• Familiarity with GenAI models (GPT, Claude, LLaMA) and orchestration tools (LangChain, LlamaIndex, RAG)
• Strong understanding of supervised/unsupervised learning, time-series modeling, and model deployment
• Business-oriented mindset with the ability to simplify complex solutions for decision-makers

Nice to Have

• Experience with financial risk modeling, fraud detection, or asset performance optimization
• Exposure to GenAI use cases such as internal copilots, chat interfaces, or domain-specific LLM fine-tuning
• Familiarity with cloud AI/ML services (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, Vertex AI)
• Arabic language proficiency is a plus
