Application Support Engineer

Description:

• Exposure to VAT platform. Exposure to VAT applications from "Image InfoSystems" is an advantage.
• Strong technical and functional role, good liaison skills with vendors and other stakeholders.
• Strengths around requirement discussion, BRD preparation, feasibility check, challenging the requirements and being able to negotiate the true value of the ask.
• PMO skills on development status update, SIT / UAT / Performance test planning and their sign-off and production Go-Live support from IT side.
• Weekly reporting on activities and preparation of heat map, to plan the demand supply pipeline and set right expectations to the business and better planning.
• Planning for application upgrades, archiving and support thru all CR’s on the platform.
• Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies
• Understanding of programming languages, system architecture, and IT infrastructure
• Knowledge of banking regulations, risk management, and security protocols
• Ability to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Proven ability to conduct process mapping and customer journey analysis
• Supporting VAT application on UAT for business scenario testing, both in batch mode and online integration testing.
• Taking UAT and Staging approvals from change owners and stakeholders for requirements, change requests, and coordinate change management appropriately.
• Conducting impact analysis and coordinate with clients on new requirements/change SIT, UAT and Production Go-Live
• Creating CR ticket and production moving CR coordination with production support team for deployment and sign-off of Go-Live.
• Tracking the project planned activity and daily follow up on each planned activity progress with vendor and business user.

Required Skill Set

• Technical: Strong Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Java, .net, Unix shell scripting
