Description:
We are looking to hire a creative, hard-working, customer-oriented art & craft assistant to join our team. The art & craft assistant's responsibilities include welcoming customers to our shop, monitoring customer activities, preparing tools and providing developmentally appropriate instruction on art techniques and being able to encourage creativity and self-expression to customers in a supportive and respectful manner.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the office, which includes scheduling, greeting customers, answering phone calls and handling cash and operating the cash register, etc. to ensure effective and successful work environment.
- Provide administrative support of word processing, updating of databases, spreadsheets, mail duties, photocopying, faxing and managing social media, etc.
- Instruct in proper care and use of tools and equipment and demonstrate specific techniques in arts and craft to customers who visit the store.
- Control use of materials, equipment and tools to prevent loss or abuse, and to minimize time required for items distribution and collection.
- Organize storage areas, including stocking shelves, taking inventory, maintaining required inventory records and ordering supplies.
- Prepare and attend art displays, markets, activities or exhibitions, etc. outside the shop.
- Maintain the shop organized and tidy and perform end-of-day cleaning duties.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in PRO or administration jobs.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skill is a must.
- Being enthusiastic, creative, open-minded, self-motivated.
- Showing great interests and talents in paintings, doing handicrafts.
- English speaking is a must. (Arabic is also preferred.)
- UAE driving license is preferred.
