Assistant / Junior Chef

Description:

A skilled and versatile Assistant / Junior Chef is currently required for a private household in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality meals and maintaining excellence in every aspect of kitchen operations.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in preparing international cuisine, including Arabic and Iranian dishes
- Ability to cook for adults, children, household staff, and guests
- Strong knowledge of menu planning, grocery shopping, and kitchen inventory management
- Solid understanding of food hygiene, safety standards, and kitchen organisation
- Experience in BBQ cooking (charcoal, gas, and electric grills)
- Ability to assist with guest service and special events
- Team-oriented, flexible, and willing to support other household duties when required

Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning menus and preparing daily meals for all household members
- Prepare a variety of international dishes, including Arabic and Iranian cuisine
- Manage grocery shopping and kitchen inventory, including monitoring expiry dates
- Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen organisation
- Support guest service and special events, including BBQ preparation
- Work closely with the household/kitchen team and assist with additional duties as needed
