Associate Director Supervision

An excellent opportunity is available with a financial services regulator based in Dubai for an Associate Director in the Supervision division who will provide conduct risk subject matter expertise and policy-level thought contributions in leading resources responsible for risk-based authorisations and supervision of financial institutions and other regulated entities. Due to UAE's nationalisation initiative, this role is strictly for a UAE National.

Reporting to the Director, you will oversee conduct of business risks.

Key Responsibilities
 

• Oversee efficient delivery of all licensing activities
• Manage and support the effective achievement of the objectives of respective areas of focus through setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff
• Oversee efficient delivery of the team’s supervisory activities including: desk-based reviews, on-site assessments, event-driven reviews, analysis of system-wide and firm-specific financial and non financial data through internal and external sources
• Contribute to Supervision Department-wide strategic direction, business planning and policy formation. Ensure effective cascading of approved strategy, business plans and policy into the day-to-day management of the team.
