Key Responsibilities:
- Collaboration: Liaise with design and installation teams to gather precise specifications and requirements.
- Supportive Role: Assist the design department and project managers by providing necessary drawings from concept to project handover.
- Craftsmanship: Create detailed CAD drawings for construction and as-built drawing submittals, as well as on-site work and proposals.
- Visual Excellence: Develop color renderings and 3D models to bring projects to life.
- Effective Communication: Engage and understand the needs of design, installation, and project management teams, as well as external manufacturers.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively seek ways to enhance processes and operations within the department.
- Compliance and Confidentiality: Follow G4S quality control procedures, including ISO standards, and maintain client confidentiality with the utmost discretion and personal integrity.
- Safety Advocate: Promote and maintain a culture of health and safety across projects, teams, and business operations.
- Technical Expertise: Conduct device configuration audits, prepare technical submittals, and offer support for onsite construction supervision as required.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Engineering
- Work Experience: 5+ years in CAD, ideally in Electronic Security Systems and communications or construction.
- Meticulousness: Methodical and organized with an eye for detail.
- Personality Traits: A pleasing personality with excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
- Initiative: Willing and able to take the lead in solving engineering design problems.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Visio).
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Video Surveillance Systems, Access Control Systems, and Structural Cabling Systems is a plus.
