Job Description
BI Developer is responsible for the development and support for internally created or supported BI applications, including: Business requirement gathering, developing the solution, and testing roubleshooting the application. Working closely with senior management to develop and improve the BI applications. Your responsibility will also include:
- Responsible for the understanding and documenting the business requirements.
- Design the wireframe of the requested dashboards
- Conceptualize and build simple yet appealing Tableau dashboards with insightful details
- Build and maintain enterprise data warehouses and business analytics platforms
- Utilize analytics to explore data and uncover trends and insights
- Create SQL scripts, workflows, and ETL solutions to transform data into business intelligence
- Develop reports with Tableau Desktop
- Develop ad-hoc SQL queries for real-time analysis
- Provide technical and architectural solutions related to BI systems, tools, and databases
- Design and implement proof of concept solutions
- Create advanced business analytics visualizations
- Senior member of team that interacts with business engagement teams to define dashboards and
- Reporting solutions to meet diverse, complex business needs.
- Manage Tableau Administration servers and desktops.
- Writing the UAT test and validating it with the business users.
- Providing the required training for using the application to the business users.
- Troubleshooting any bug\issue in the system and identifying the appropriate fix.
- Monitoring and maintain Tableau Servers
To be considered for this role, you will need to have:
- Tableau Certification.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science A minimum of 4 years of experience developing visualization solutions with Tableau\
- 4 years experience working in a DW environment.
- 3+ years’ experience with Tableau servers administration
- 3+ years’ experience of T-SQL development .
- 2+ years’ experience of Database Design and Analysis required
- Experience developing reports in Tableau for Desktop and mobile devices.
- Experience administrating Tableau servers
- Demonstrable, strong analysis skills are a must.
- The ability to create and debug complex stored procedures, SQL statements, views, triggers, and functions for MS SQL Server.
- The Ability to develop MS SQL Server Reporting Services.
- An understanding of utilizing Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server\GitHub.
- Experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin
- Good communication skills
