Business Development Manager

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager in Reinsurance Broking who thrives in a target-driven environment and has a proven track record of success in reinsurance broking.

Key Responsibilities

• Target-Oriented Role: This is a performance-driven position designed for a professional with a solid background as a Reinsurance Broker. The ideal candidate must have strong relationships with the Reinsurance Departments of various insurance companies in the region to cater to their periodic facultative reinsurance requirements.
• Develop and execute strategies to meet and exceed set revenue targets commensurate with the role.
• Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities in the regional and international reinsurance markets.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with insurers and reinsurers to secure long-term partnerships.
• Provide tailored reinsurance solutions by working closely with internal broking and technical teams.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify and act on emerging opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
• Experience:

Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a Reinsurance Broker with a proven ability to manage and grow a client portfolio.

Demonstrated success in serving facultative reinsurance needs of insurance companies and achieving revenue targets.

• Relationships: Strong existing network within the Reinsurance Departments of insurance companies in the region is essential.
• Skills:

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Results-driven mindset with the ability to work under pressure to meet and exceed targets.

Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of reinsurance solutions and client needs.

• Certifications: Professional certifications such as ACII or equivalent are a plus.
