Description:

As a Business Development Manager at Olive Travel, your primary responsibility will be to identify and pursue new business opportunities, acquire new corporate clients, negotiate contracts, and expand the agency's client base. Your goal will be to promote the agency's services and value proposition, ensuring continued growth and success.

 

Key Result Areas:

- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities: You will be responsible for actively seeking out and identifying potential clients and business opportunities in the travel industry. This includes researching and analyzing market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to develop effective sales strategies.

 

- Acquiring new corporate clients: You will be tasked with prospecting, pitching, and closing deals with new corporate clients. This involves building strong relationships, understanding client requirements, and presenting tailored solutions that meet their travel needs.

 

- Negotiating contracts: You will be responsible for negotiating and finalizing contracts with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions that align with the agency's objectives and financial targets.

 

- Expanding the agency's client base: Your role will involve developing and implementing strategies to expand the agency's client base. This includes networking, attending industry events, and utilizing various marketing channels to promote the agency's services.

 

In addition to the key result areas mentioned above, effective collaboration with the Travel and Lifestyle Team Manager, EA, and Finance Officer is essential. You will work closely with these team members to ensure seamless coordination and achieve common goals.

 

Other important aspects of the role include:

- Selling at the right margins for the business: You will be responsible for pricing and selling the agency's services at competitive margins to maximize profitability without compromising on customer satisfaction.

 

- Developing and documenting new processes: Continuous improvement is vital, and you will be expected to identify and implement new processes and procedures that enhance efficiency and productivity within the business.

 

- Use of company CRM for recording real-time activity: You will be required to utilize the company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to record and track all sales-related activities, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis.

 

- Being the brand ambassador: As the Business Development Manager, you will represent Olive Travel and act as the brand ambassador, upholding the agency's reputation and values in all interactions with clients and industry partners.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of sales experience in the travel industry, specifically within the corporate sector. Experience managing corporate clients and travel accounts is a must.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of corporate travel management, policies, and trends.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in handling large multinational corporate accounts.
  • Familiarity with travel management software (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre).
  • Existing network of corporate contacts in relevant industries (e.g., finance, tech, consulting).
