Description:
We are seeking motivated, result-oriented sales / business development professionals with a proven track record to grow our freight-forwarding vertical in Dubai. The focus shall be on acquiring new business, developing strategies to establish a steady base of customers for ocean, air & land freight services, and building strong customer-relationships.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Pursue new business opportunities in freight forwarding (air, sea, land / multimodal transportation).
- Engage with new / existing customers for cross-selling (other services) and up-selling (company’s network) opportunities.
- Prepare sales forecasts; develop & execute sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Attend conferences / exhibitions / business networking events to identify potential customers and build rapport.
- Conduct market research & competitor analysis and share insights to strengthen the company’s market position.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline / quotes register and periodically report performance metrics.
- Present quotations / business proposals and send business confirmations / agreements to customers.
- Establish a strong relationship with customers, foster loyalty, resolve conflicts / customer concerns / escalations.
- Collaborate with the customer-service team to ensure smooth delivery of services.
- Develop and maintain a cordial relationship with network agents / vendors / carriers.
- Identify opportunities to optimize sales / commercial processes and rationalize costs.
- Ensure adherence to applicable regulations and Access World’s code of ethical conduct & compliance requirements.
Selection criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- A professional qualification in business administration / logistics / supply chain will be an added advantage.
- Proven record in freight-sales, lead-generation, exceeding targets.
- In-depth knowledge of the UAE / Middle East freight-forwarding market and local Customs regulations / business practices.
- Prior experience of setting up / managing a customs-clearance department is desired.
- Strong persuasion, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail; excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- A valid UAE driving license.
