Business Development Specialist

 

Description:

The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for driving sales growth and

expanding MYSPAN’s market presence in Saudi Arabia. This role involves market

research, lead generation, and supporting our local distributor’s sales efforts to

strengthen the MYSPAN and Kirloskar brands across the Kingdom. The ideal candidate

will bring a valued experience and connections in KSA market with strong technical

understanding of engines, generator sets (gensets), and related industrial

equipment, enabling effective communication with customers and partners in

technically demanding environments.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Qualification

• Identify and qualify potential leads through research, networking, events, and

cold calling.

• Maintain a structured pipeline of opportunities and ensure timely follow-ups.

2. Product Approvals & Registration

• Manage product registrations with governmental bodies, consultants, and private

entities.

• Coordinate with manufacturers, distributors, and regional teams to complete

approval processes.

3. Dealer Relationship Management

• Support and collaborate with the local distributor in joint sales and marketing

initiatives.

• Build strong relationships to ensure alignment on growth objectives and service

quality.

4. Market Research & Intelligence

• Conduct detailed market studies to identify trends, opportunities, and competitor

activities.

• Provide actionable insights to management for strategic decision-making.

5. Reporting & Documentation

• Track and report sales activities, lead status, and pipeline progress.

• Provide regular feedback on customer requirements and market developments to

senior management.

6. Strategy Implementation

• Assist in developing and executing business development strategies to achieve

market penetration and revenue growth.

• Support initiatives that enhance brand visibility and dealer performance.

 

Skills & Qualifications

Experience: 3–5 years in sales or business development within heavy

equipment, power generation, or related engineering industries.

Technical Knowledge:

o Strong understanding of engines, generator sets (gensets), and

mechanical/electrical systems.

o Ability to engage in technical discussions with customers, consultants,

and engineers.

Industry Expertise: Familiarity with Powergen, Machinery, and Construction

Equipment sectors.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both

Arabic and English.

Analytical Skills: Capability to conduct market research and analyze data to

identify leads and trends.

Teamwork: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across

regional and functional teams.

Resilience: Ability to remain proactive, focused, and positive under challenges.

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferably in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical,

or Industrial.)
