Chartering Manager

BW Ships DMCC is in the Dry Cargo Chartering business that has been a part of the highly reputed Damani Group of Companies which has over 70 years of experience and exceptional service.

We are looking for candidates with an Advanced/ Fluent understanding of English with a minimum of 4-5 years experience working in the commercial post in the owners, operators, shipbrokers desk to join our team either at our Dubai or Mumbai office.

As a Chartering Manager,

Responsibility

• Bulk Carrier Operation knowledge and experience is required
• Chartering or Fixing ocean freight for Time Charter or Voyage Charter
• Negotiation of the Charter Party
• Voyage Estimations
• Weekly market review and making an internal report.
• General sales action for building a relationship with our customer and clients
• Review and Analysis of Voyage profitability.
• Fixing of COA and/or CVC, FFA contract and renewal of the existing contract.

Minimum Shipping Qualification

• ICS
• Degree in Maritime Shipping

• Intermediate Excel and Word Skills
• Exceptional Communication and People Skills
• Strong Organisational Skills
• Advanced fluency in English
• Highly numerate and analytical with attention to detail
• Possessing a high sense of responsibility; working pragmatically, proactively and independently
