Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Chief Accountant to join a leading and rapidly growing restaurant chain. This position demands strong accounting expertise along with practical experience in the food and beverage sector.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or a related field
- Solid understanding of IFRS and UAE accounting standards
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in the F&B industry
- Proficiency in Odoo accounting system
- Male candidates only, as required operationally
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full accounting cycle, from journal entries to final financial statements
- Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closings for all outlets and head office
- Perform cost accounting tasks including inventory management, recipe costing, and waste tracking
- Monitor cash flow, handle bank reconciliations, and manage payment cycles
- Ensure VAT compliance and coordinate with auditors and regulatory authorities
- Supervise and guide junior accounting staff to ensure accurate account reconciliations
- Generate management reports to support operational and strategic decisions
- Collaborate with procurement and operations teams for correct expense recognition
- Maintain proper controls over petty cash, supplier payments, and sales reporting
