Civil/structural Designer

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently requesting expressions of interest for a Civil/Structural Designer. This postion is based in Abu Dhabi office and possible trips to Bahrain.
 

• Produce detailed 3D models and associated 2D drawings Work closely with the engineer to ensure coordinated design and compliance with codes and specifications
• Compile data and compute quantities in support of material takeoffs
• Must have basic knowledge and understanding of Civil & Structural drawings
• Ensures effective communications among other engineering disciplines and project management teams.
• Coordinate within members of discipline, other engineering disciplines within the organization or project team
• Takes personal responsibility for safety and a healthy environment on the projects
   

Skills / Qualifications
 

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant design experience
• Experience using AutoCAD or other 3D design / drafting software
• Drafting and design experience within a consulting engineering environment
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks
• Effective English verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
