Cloud Engineer - Red Hat OpenStack
Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite Level 2/3 operational support for Red Hat OpenStack (OSP 13 and 16) environments used to host critical Packet Core applications.
- Monitor infrastructure health and performance using Nagios, addressing alarms and proactively mitigating risks.
- Troubleshoot and maintain core OpenStack components (Nova, Neutron, Keystone, Cinder, Glance, etc.)
- Operate and support Cisco ACI fabric including policy, endpoint groups, APIC configuration, and network segmentation.
- Participate in incident response, RCA, and change management procedures aligned with ITIL practices.
- Contribute to high availability and disaster recovery readiness through regular testing and backup verification.
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in cloud infrastructure operations, specifically supporting Red Hat OpenStack (OSP) in production environments.
- Strong knowledge of Red Hat OpenStack Platform versions 13 and 16, with proven experience in deployment, support, and upgrade scenarios.
- Experience supporting telecom network functions such as EPC/5GC (MME, SGW, PGW, AMF, SMF, UPF) on OpenStack infrastructure.
- Strong working knowledge of Cisco ACI: APIC, fabric policies, contracts, and troubleshooting of tenant networking; Proficient with Nagios for monitoring system resources, generating alerts, and reporting.
- Strong skills in Linux system administration (preferably RHEL), and comfortable with bash scripting and automation basics.
- Certifications such as Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenStack or Cisco ACI certifications (CCNP Data Center) are a plus.
