Description:

The successful candidate will assist the law firm in all legal aspects of an ongoing construction dispute, including case strategy, document review, witness preparation, and interfacing with expert consultants. This is a strategic legal role requiring a sharp understanding of the nuances of regional construction law, arbitration frameworks, and commercial litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on construction arbitration and litigation strategies.
  • Support preparation for arbitration proceedings (international and local).
  • Draft legal submissions, pleadings, and witness statements.
  • Liaise with technical experts and construction consultants to align legal and technical narratives.
  • Assist with hearings, evidence review, and cross-jurisdictional legal matters.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7–10 years of proven experience in construction arbitration and litigation, ideally with international law firms or large construction consultancies.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); Arabic language skills are a strong advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of construction law frameworks (FIDIC contracts, delay and disruption claims, quantum, etc.).
  • Familiarity with construction projects in the Middle East, particularly in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, will be considered a significant asset.
  • Admission to practice in a recognized jurisdiction (e.g., UK, US, Australia, etc.) preferred.
