Description:
We’re looking for an experienced professional to join our growing team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate should have significant experience working within engineering consultancy environments and a deep understanding of UAE contractual standards.
Key Requirements:
- Total years of experience: 10-12 years (including similar experience in UAE)
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience working in a similar role in an Engineering Consultancy environment.
- Proven expertise in Contracts Management, including preparation, review, and administration of contracts within UAE.
- Hands-on experience in claims handling, including preparation of claims documentation and support during negotiations or disputes.
- Proficiency in technical and contractual letter drafting, with excellent written communication skills.
- Strong command over written and verbal English.
- Familiarity with FIDIC conditions of contract and other relevant contractual standards.
- Ability to coordinate with client, project teams and contractors regarding contract-related issues.
Core Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ) at the project outset.
- Conduct engineering measurements for completed works.
- Draft and evaluate variation orders and contractual claims
- Provide support on cost-related matters throughout project execution.
- Analyse costs for design changes and suggest value engineering options
- Maintain contract documentation and support monthly financial reporting
- Perform measurement procedures and calculations for interim and final quantities.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams on all contract-related matters
- Oversee contract final cost estimates and budget compliance.
